Tiny Little Tweaks, Very Big Health Benefits

The trouble with the small things in life is they can often get overlooked. Even though they can have some of the biggest, most positive impacts, we often ignore them, neglect them and even disregard them. This is as true as it gets when we talk about healthy habits.

So, to stop this from happening in your life any longer, and to stop you missing out from there positives at play, we have pulled together a list of small health changes that will have the biggest impact on your life.

The Better Breakfast

There are no excuses for skipping breakfast. The cliches about it being the most important meal of the day have been circulating far too long for you to have not heard this. However, the small change you can make is in what you eat because a fibre-rich breakfast will not only give you all the goodness you need, it will stop you snacking too. A bowl of cereal mixed with greek yogurt and a mix of fruit is all you need.

Spice Up Your H20

Keeping hydrated is absolutely imperative. We’re not saying you need to drink eight litres a day or whatever the “specialists” are saying this week, but keeping hydrated is important to staying healthy. A great way to make sure you are doing this is to add a pinch of natural flavor. A few slices of cucumber, some lemons, limes, raspberries or oranges. Delicious and nutritious.

Lay Back More

We mean that literally. You should sleep on your back more. This is because sleeping on your back is the best position for spinal health. Of course, you should go and see more here because, in order to the get the right support, relief and alignment, the right mattress matters a lot. To give you some sage words of advice, the best thing you can do is avoid getting a mattress that is too firm or too soft.

No Shoes Home

One of the quickest ways to have a huge impact on your health is to improve the environment you live in, and that starts by leaving your germs at the door. Over sixty percent of house dust originates from the outside, riding the wave that is your shoes to enter your home. The problem with this dust is, you don’t know where your shoes have been. They could be carrying harmful chemicals like lead or arsenic. So, from now on, leave your shoes by the door.

Swap Your Snacks

Crisps, biscuits, chocolate, cake – none of these ten to find themselves in any healthy eating columns thanks to the high sugar content and pitiful amounts of goodness. They also fail to fill you up, which is why you should replace them with healthy alternatives like nuts, soybeans, flaxseed, chia and peas; foods that help you eat well, foods that are loaded with fibre, protein, vitamins and good fats. Not only will you feel full you will get a lovely boost of energy too.
